Ronin Restaurant, Downtown Bryan
Dear friends,
It is with the utmost sadness that we share the imminent closure of our beloved Ronin Restaurant in Downtown Bryan. After nearly 7 years of calling this historic space our home, the lease will end on May 31, 2025, and our landlord declined to discuss any option for renewal. (No, we are not back on rent payments…and haven’t been since the global pandemic that was 2020/COVID.)
We were told to build the Restaurant of our dreams. And we did. After years of planning and piecing it all together, we opened with the highest hopes anyone could have. There have been a handful of prominent issues in the background, which has made this an uphill battle from the beginning. Despite the stack against, we had hope; we dug our heels into something we wholeheartedly believed in. By the way, it’s tough to compile a decade of our life filled with all the best people (who became like family to us and our kids) into a 1 minute reel…
While the thought of closing our doors is incredibly difficult, we are proud of what we have accomplished. Ronin has always been a labor of love; Brian and I have poured our hearts and souls into serving you food that is handmade with integrity and passion, from our Farm and local Texas Farms. As it turns out, raising pigs, chickens and a variety of vegetables fourteen minutes from the Restaurant was not only rewarding, but challenging. While the two of us may have led this effort, we have employed and broken bread with hundreds of individuals who all helped make Ronin what it became.
With all that very hard stuff said…
*Please join us!* …for a happy hour or dinner with friends over the coming months. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to see you in Downtown Bryan for a cocktail, some delicious food, and a warm hug before we close. Please keep an eye on our social media pages for updates and share this to let folks know.
There will definitely be a Farewell Party…!!! From the bottom of our full, but very heavy hearts, thank you for being a part of the Ronin journey. It has been a delight to serve you.
With sincere gratitude and hope,
Chef Brian & Amanda
